Some 10,000 kuching people and international students participated in a street parade o 6 August in conjunction with Kuching Fest 2005.

Members of the contigent held bamboo torches to demonstrate their unity. African students dressed in their natioanl constume to depict their unique cultures and way of life. They won the first prize of the best international students cultural perfomance with Rm 10,000 and gold medal from their College for making them proud.

The African Students impressed the crowd with their fire-eating stunt while the ladies performed the twisiting of waist dance that ended with a pole-dangling stunt by one of the members.

Not to be outdone, other countries danced to the tune of their own culture. more than 600 students from different countries and cultures were presence.

The students expressed their creativity through their dances, musical renditions, and most of all, their constumes.
