Report Malaysia ASA news- The African Students in Malaysia paid homage to their motherland on the 1st of October 2005 as Nigeria marks her 45th year of independence. The students gathered together in their national costumes to observe their National day. They raised their flag with a salute and uniformly chanted their Nigeria Anthem and recited the Pledge. Right after that, Mr. Anthony Claret Onwutalobi said few words about Nigeria and how she suffered in her quest to attain freedom. Mr. Claret praised Nnamdi Azikiwe of blessed memory and other patriotic citizen who made it possible. Mr. Kingdom Obiajunwa, the MC of the occassion briefed the crowd on the history of Nigeria.

Cutting of Cake and photo session followed. later we had a cultural show, as usual our students displayed the exotic cultural heritage of Nigeria. Moreover, Item No 7 is not left out. We had Variety of African delicacies The Good thing is that, all the visitors filled their stomach. Actually, the event was a success. Nigeria, the giant of Africa... We salute
